Welkome to zee Skandzik family tree. As some oft you are aware, zere are seferal nations zat share a similar ancestry. In zee efforts to afoid konfusion, vee vill be puttink up a list oft all nations apart of zis tree. It vill be updated as new nations refeal zemselfes, and vee vill vork to keep thinks in a logical manner.

Sverinovo is hailed as the birthplace of the Scandzic Peoples.
Whilst modern Sverinovians have changed greatly from their mothers, and their mothers' forefathers, they still consider themselves to be the 'purist' Scandzic people.

A central island group in the Kathere bay, the Kathere isles were the origins of the Vikings - raider, settler, and trader alike. These ancient Katherean Vikings are the proven ancestor of all 'True Scandzic' bloodlines.
True pioneers of the naval arts of sailing, exploration, and coastal raiding, the Vikings initially only left a trail of destruction, pillage, and rape wherever their fateful voyages took them. It was not long, however, until many began to settle in those same coastlines - and even cooperate and trade with the peoples they found out there in a vast world.

The Katherean Viking tribes eventually adopted feudalism - forming kingdoms - before going on to create the Great Scandzic Empire. This legendary nation ended, along with the Katherean Sverinovian monarchy, fighting the newly-formed Ukaristi kingdoms, whom sought to break away.
Only then did the Katherean populace become the true Sverinovo seen today - and centuries of isolation allowed their genetics to diverge from their Imperial legacies.

Real World Culture Comparison - German/Prussian

Existing along the southern shores of the Draco Aeternum, they are descendants of settlers from Sverinovo. Originally forming small coastal kingdoms, they fought many small scale wars against one another, partially for power, and partially for sport. As a whole, the diplomacy between the various Wustesche kingdoms has always been very close, with no major conflicts between any of them. With the fall of the Scandzic empire, Wustesche formed into a single Kingdom rather easily, with the noble houses content to work together in order to feed and protect one another from the Cecidit City-States, and the Vulpes tribes. The first major conflict within the Wustesche kingdom was one of religion, with three noble houses joining a new religion which praised a single god, rather than the house of gods which was Wustesche tradition. While the potential for bloody combat was high, it was decided that these houses would be sent out to spread their religion in other lands, rather than spill Wustesche blood in an internal holy war. Wustesche maintains its traditional beliefs to this day. One such group made landfall in South Karsland, while others traveled north to Sinegar.

This drive to spread the Scandzic culture was not only for foreign lands. Many in Wusteche wanted to conquer the Ceciditian City States, as well as the Vulpes Tribes, in order to create one large kingdom. After a slight made by the city state of Ariden, the Wustesche launched a blitz campaign against all the region, forming the Holy Aeternum Empire. While this kingdom eventually fragmented and collapsed, it set a standard that all Aeternum nations would follow. No nation would be recognized without the support of the Aeternum as a whole. Since the fall of the HAE, Wustesche has remained a very unified state, with little to no amounts of rebellion or disorder that often plagues the other Aeternum states. While they have a history of being peaceful, recent years have seen a renewed spark in the desire to reform the Scandzic Empire.

Real World Cultures Comparison - All Scandinavian Cultures (Including Sami, Finnish, Icelandic, and Faroese) & Estonian

Almost across the continent from Sverinovo, Ukarist is a land of many cultures, which have all been declared Scandzic.

Rolling fields, arable land... and even messengers of the Gods; Ukarist was seen as the 'promised land' to those Katherean Vikings who landed there, after such a long journey. The tribes which landed sought to claim as much as possible of those lands, knowing they were not the only settlers to be making the voyage. But the land was not deserted.
The natives were surprisingly similar, yet still differently. Certainly, they spoke in a foreign tongue, and prayed not to the Old Viking Gods.
In some areas, therefore, bloody displacement of the populace took place (pushing the natives Eastward). But in many, the settlers eventually integrated with the native populaces.

Lands soon consolidated into Jarldoms - and Jarldoms into the early petty Kingdoms. Their homeland sought to bring them to heel as a member of the Great Scandzic Empire, but these new monarchies, for the most part, resisted. Their declarations of sovereignty may not have been officially made, but their overlords decided their autonomy was getting out of hand, and sailed to war against the Ukaristi kingdoms. Queen Ukarist, however, brought about that famous victory - ending the Empire in battle against the Empress herself (who was slain).
By then, the Kingdoms were already becoming vastly different - but the war had shown them what may become of a united people.
Bringing Ukarist further diversity was the advent of the Crusades. Religious Wustesche Crusaders arrived from the West, bringing the cross to the island of modern-day Karlsland. The Crusader state founded there on the south of the island may not have lasted to the present, but the descendants of its people certainly did (albeit with some mixing with the Karlslandic populace).
The legacy of the Crusades was that of defining the newly-made divisions of the people, as well as bringing the first modern religion and inciting the institutes of theocratic thought that followed thereafter.

By the wars of the 1900s, the Kingdoms had grown into great nations in their own rights. A union of most of the modern Ukaristi territories was crushed by the two great wars - but this, in a way, brought them close again. Modern-day Ukarist represents the fruits of consolidation efforts made by the monarchies to form a Ukaristi empire.
By 2300, Ukarist was still scarred by war, wrought by inefficiency, and writhing with internal dispute. Today, a world-weary Ukarist looks sadly to the past, but hopefully to the future.

Real World Culture Comparison - Saxon/German

With original Scandzic influence coming from a band of wayward Sverinovian Vikings, they intermixed with the native races and had a rather quiet influence over the northern region.

The Iremn faith itself can be traced back to the Wustesche religious turmoils, worshiping a single god rather than a group of gods. When the Wustesche people went north, they took their more traditional religion with them; Something that has somewhat died off in modern Sinegar today, being a mostly Atheistic country with a growing single-deity religion.

Instead of bloodshed, the houses agreed to send the new religion out to spread their faith in foreign lands instead of on Wustesche sands. While some groups traveled east, one of the groups went north to Sinegar today, taking their new religion with them. The group itself, now known as the Iremn, were set on spreading their monotheistic faith.
The initial conflict itself remains a mystery, or if there ever was one. The crusaders knew that starting fights needless would be costly and pointless, and that living in harmony especially in such a hostile and foreign land was necessary, banded together, allowing both their religion and the native faith to be practiced. This union is also a deciding factor as to why Sinegar is mostly atheistic today.
After the settlement of Sinegar of the Iremn-Wustesche people, the formation of the Holy Aeternum Empire created a large Scandzic body to trade with the Iremn city states. The HAE eventually collapsed, but the prized tradition and standardization it gave to the Scandzic nations would forever remain in Sinegar; Keeping the country itself extremely unified and very friendly towards other Scandzic and Wustsche specific nations.
Sinegar remained peaceful for nearly 1,000 years in Cynosure time. Since the modern times of years post 200.01 (January 1st, 200) has kept an able-bodied military force, with many of the populace wanting to re-unite and reform the Scandzic Empire, which has kept their people and nation in great prosperity.
