Government Changes

As you may or may not know, on January 15, ProfessorHenn resigned as Councillor after being at the job since July 17 due to lack of internet access. He was replaced first by Wuufu as the interim Councillor, then by Holy after being elected unanimously on January 24. ProfessorHenn has since been appointed as the Councillor of Culture on January 31.

RP Happenings

Gibraltarica's King Philip III married Vienie von Hujte of Belatuathonia, the sister of the King of Belatuathonia. This led to a trade and military alliance. In addition, Belatuathonia cut off trade with all non-Commonwealth nations, save for Gibraltarica. Eventually, Belatuathonia invaded lands adjacent to it and declared war on The Cynosure Temple, with similar actions by Gibraltarica following suit.

Gibraltarica has since withdrawn, although still being technically at war with The Cynosure Temple. Trade alliances have been formed between Qora and Uomi, as well as a defense alliance with Der Tigerland, along with a defense alliance between SirReaper and Der Tigerland. The region, despite 2 conferences being held, one in Xah's capital and one in New Arcadia, is on the brink of war.

NationStates Happenings

An embassy with Novus Universale was constructed on January 5, 2016.

After ProfessorHenn's resignation as both WA Councillor and Councillor General, the WA Delegate position was filled by several people, until Korusthan was appointed. However, he has since been demoted and banjected after slanderous comments towards ProfessorHenn and threatening to banject Henn (even though he had no such powers). Belatuathonia is currently our delegate, and a WA Councillor is to be appointed in the near future.

Government Changes
Pixie Noir was demoted from her position as Councillor of Roleplay after several weeks of inactivity on the forums and the Discord Chat. She has since been replaced by ProfessorHenn.

RP Happenings
The RP has undergone a complete overhaul. All old RP threads, save for factbooks, have been archived. The map has also undergone an overhaul. If you need to reclaim, please do so in the new map thread, pinned in the Cynosure Cantina. A conference, started by the Cynosure Temple, has led to talks about an international organization with the purpose of maintaining international relations and limiting WMDs.

Sverinovo has also sold a variety of weapons and materials to Gibraltarica and Qora. Gibraltarican Corporation Aeneas Ventures has started construction of a space mining shuttle, funded by the Gibraltarican and Sverinovian Government, and there is currently some escalated tensions between SirReaper and Sverinovo after the interception of the secure transmissions of Sverinovo by SirReaper.

NationStates Happenings

Wuufu has once again started large-scale recruitment, and the effects have been massive. In less than a week, the population of Cynosure has grown from 79 nations to 107, an increase of 35%. Belatuathonia, Councillor Holy's puppet, continues to act as the WA Delegate for Cynosure. In addition, the WA Endorsement Cap has been set to 1.

Government Changes
The RP Councillor Role was split between Henn (RP Affairs) and Xah (RP State), but after Henn's resignation,the role of RP Affairs Councillor has since been designated to Qora. In addition, Henn has been designated the Unofficial Regional Deity. The vacant role of Information Councillor has been merged with the role of Internal Affairs Councillor, which is currently held by Gibraltarica.

RP Happenings
There has been various civil wars and insurrections, including in Awyyn and Sverinovo. In addition, there is an impending invasion of Der Tigerland, which looks to be involving Gibraltarica fighting against an NPC nation with over 200 million tanks. There have been no major treaties.

NationStates Happenings
Cynosure has a record 113 nations, an increase of 6% from the 14^th. In addition, according to the World Census, Cynosure is in the top 1% of the world for the most nations and top 10% for most WA endorsements and Income Inequality.

RP News:
The overhaul has quieted down now. The war in Awyyn has been silent for some time, and the war in Der Tigerland has been won, resulting in a mutual treaty between Gibraltarica and the Siberian Republic. There has been an earthquake in the Cynosure Temple, however, all infrastructure has been repaired, thanks to an effort led by Gibraltarica. There have also been several conferences, one involving a trade deal, one involving war crimes. No major RP treaties have been passed. Additionally, a College at the Court on Mount Rathu has been opened. All people are encouraged to join.

Internal Affairs
The elections following Holy's resignation on the 4th of March have been completed, with 5 candidates, at the following polling numbers:

Gibraltarica, former Internal Affairs Councillor, has since been sworn in as Councillor. He has appointed ProfessorHenn in his place, and has officially appointed Bytotia as WA Councillor, however, is allowing for elections in the near future, at which Bytotia will run against all approved applicants in a FPTP poll open to WA members. The position of Culture Councillor has also since been opened to applicants, and will be directly appointed by the Councillor based on the applications.

In addition, a job creation program has been established jointly by the Councillor and the Internal Affairs Department. It will start offering jobs in the areas of Internal Affairs, Cultural Affairs, and Foreign Affairs to any member who wishes to apply.

Foreign and WA Affairs
Embassies have been opened with Wintreath, Equinox, Aurorealis, and Albion, and applications have been submitted to The South Pacific for a consulate and to Europeia for an embassy. More embassies will be opened in the near future. Recruitment has been largely successful, thanks to those who chipped in a bit. In total, we have seen an increase of more than 50 nations over the past 3 weeks.

Cynosure's current Delegate, Bytotia, was elected on March 5th, and has seen an increase of 7 endorsements over the past week. He has approved the following proposals: Declare Global Warming Real, Space Exploration, Right to Internet Access, and On Space Trade. They have voted against Repeal "Condemn Vandoosa" and for the Sexual Health and Education Act. Voting for these acts among residents is 12-1 for the Sexual Health and Education Act, and 3-9 against Repeal "Condemn Vandoosa"

The nations of Cynosure have formed together to pass a war crimes treaty, listing in detail all of the heinous acts to now be considered as criminal acts. The treaty failed to mention punishment for the crimes, however. In addition, something happened in Qora, however, reporters have failed to return with news. We suspect it is a war.

Internal Affairs
New Councillor for Culture! ProfessorHenn has been appointed as the Culture Councillor after supposedly killing the competition with nothing but his resume. Further details are sketchy, due to the uncultured nature of the reporters, forcing them to be annihilated. There is also a distinct lack of activity, of which the Internal Affairs Councillor had to say this: "I attribute the lack of activity on the language barrier. Who can speak Esperanto?"

Foreign Affairs
We have little to say, other than that Wintreath is the main harbinger of activity. Go winter!
