GhostWarfare7 misbehaved and got denied docking rights. He bribed the official $700 for 7 talk, rolled a 3, and with Mal's 1 talk got a total of 11, passing the card and completing the job. RP on this will happen tomorrow.

In this round, a number of successful misbehaves, and some rather nice purchases. Here's the RP for GhostWarfare7's misbehave.

“The Dubhlainn requesting permission to dock,” Captain Ghost announced over the communictor.

There was a moments static, before the guy on the other end retorted. “And what would a ship like yours want landing down in our small spaceport.”

True enough, they were away from the central spaceports on Silverhold, but their cattle had to be put down on the farming areas of the planet, not the commercial hubs. Not to mention that the cattle shouldn’t even be on the planet.

“Err, we’ve got some business of our own to attend to,” Captain Ghost replied.

“And what business be that?” the voice sounded impatient.

“Tell you what,” Mal leaned forward, and Ghost didn’t know how long he’d lingered in the cockpit before making himself known. “Why don’t you let us down and we can discuss things.”

“No, sorry, that’s not how this works. You’re going to-” Mal leaned forward and muted the line.

“What’d you do that for?” Ghost asked.

“There’s only one way we’re going to get that landing permit, Captain,” he answered. “And that’s if we bribe the fella. Only thing that talks around these parts is cash, and lots of it.”

“How much cash?”

“I’d suggest at least $500. But more will likely grease the wheels.”

“Fair enough,” Ghost sighed. “Let’s raise it $700 and hope he takes the bait.”

Mal unmuted the guy.

“-and after that troublesome issue with the plasma coils explodin’ on us, we don’t want any trouble like that around these parts, you hear?” the guy seemed to be finishing a rant, unaware he’d been muted.

“Tell you what,” Mal said. “How about we transfer say, $700, into your account right now, and you forget we even was here.”

Silence followed that statement. “Are you trying to bribe me for a docking permit?” the guy sounded confused.

“That we might,” Mal responded.

More silence. “$700 you say? You know, that might go down mighty well ta fixin’ some of tha issues we ‘ave ‘ere. Alright, I find that acceptable and all.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

In addition, Kleo Kira Azu rolled an 11 on the skill check for wheeling and dealing, for a total of 13 talk, netting an additional $500 from Badger as they completed their job in Harvest.
