PAFD Enterprize - High Vers Orbit - Dominion Of Piethrixian Planets - 21:00 Hrs

The ship's bridge is silent, A single shuttle suddenly turns from its course and is then on a ramming course with the bridge of the destroyer. "Really again?" The Captain Whines "Railguns 2 through 10 aim and fire at will." The ships railguns turn to face the shuttle, they wait a second until it is at the 100% Accuracy range. The guns fire, the hypersonic shell of one railgun slams into the port nacelle of the shuttle, debris fly off in all directions, another shot hits its target. Then another, and another. The last shot hits directly in the center of the ships large front window. It shatters into a million pieces, as the cockpit depressurizes. "What is that Ensign?" The captain asks his comms officer. "Number 15 for the last Week." The Ensign Looks down at their control station "Correction, Number 17 For the last week." The Captain takes a sip of his Drink. "Interesting, we almost beat the Victory." He Puts his drink down. "I'll be in my Quarters, Commander, you have the bridge. Notify me of anything out of the ordinary." The Ships First officer stands up. "Seems like a slow day, we shouldn't be seeing anything today."

The Comms officer turns to the First officer. "We have a received a message from the Victory, they are coming to relieve us of our patrol route so that we can get some rest." The First officer stands up. "Get the captain up here, Took them long enough, how long have we been on patrol?" The Ensign presses a button on their Console. "Exactly 146 Hours, 10 Minutes, and 27 Seconds, 28,29,30"
"Yes, I get it" The Captain walks into the bridge and sits down in the command seat. "Prepare to land at pad 15 PFB 051"

PFB 051 - Comms Room - Vers - Dominion Of Piethrixian Planets - 22:00 Hrs

"We had some weird stuff up there, along with the Usual Background Chatter, we had an old Piethrixian Frequency light up for a Second." The Comms Officer of the Enterprise says to the Bases Comms Officer. "Probably just some Star Exploding a long time ago. In another Galaxy". "Yep, We've gotten some stuff on our Hourly Scans also, we picked up you guys firing at that shuttle and thought it was an attack!" The Base Comms officer Laughs. "Speaking of Hourly Sensor Sweeps, time for one." The Comms officers both turn to a large Screen at one end of the room. A Single Bright Red Dot that is flashing appears at 50 kilometres above the surface. The two officers look in awe, one reaches for a big red button under a Clear Case with the Word "ALARM" Written in Big Bold Red Letters above it, and flips the Case up and Slams on the button. They take a headset that was left on a console and put it on pressing a few buttons on the Console at the same time. "Unknown Gravitational object in orbit at approximately 50 Kilometers up. Approximate size is 1 Meter, no 10, No 50, 100 meters wide. All available Piethrixian Armed Forces craft to orbit. Weapons ready, Nuclear Warhead Authorisation code A15745145." The Enterprise Comms officer runs out of the room and towards pad 15.

PFB 051 - Pad 15 - Vers - Dominion Of Piethrixian Planets - 22:01 Hrs

The Comms officer runs up the boarding ramp of the Destroyer just as the ramp begins to close. They quickly run to the bridge. "A Bit late eh?" the Captain says as they run into the bridge. "Sorry. I was in the bases comm room." The Officer sits at their Control console. "The Object has grown to 100 meters wide, it is now identified as a gateway of some kind. We have authorization for nuclear weapons."

The Ship Begins to lift off, its massive engines blowing up dirt and dust from the edge of the Pad 30 meters from the side of the ship. After it gets to an altitude of 1 kilometre, it begins to pitch up and activates its forward Thrusters. At 30 Kilometers it activates its Tactical Systems. Its Weapons coming to life as they scan the area around the ship for enemies.
Five other Destroyers of the same class Begin to Ascend beside it. Eventually, ten Retribution Class Frigates with their Weapons ready join the group.

It could be a little blasé, the opening of a Gate into a new universe, as if it was something ordinary and mundane. It was, however, an occurrence of some magnitude, even to the residents of the Nexus, and the Owners took great care to make each Gate opening to a viable universe into an event worthy of attending. Even just the amounts of energy required to break through the 'sides' of the Nexus and into another universe would be staggering, if the Owners ever published that kind of information, but that would be revealing just a little too much for their liking. So it, and all the other mechanisms behind the Gate opening, may as well be magic to Nexus Clients.

As usual there was an audience for this final Gate opening. The Gate had, technically, been opened and closed twice before; once to check for the location and to refine its positioning, and the other to allow through some cloaked scouts, to gather information about the local area around the Gate and any potential Clients. The Owners had high hopes for this Gate; the nearest civilisation appeared highly developed and would hopefully make a fully capable Client in minimal time.

The Gate widened to around 300 meters in diameter, large enough for the Envoy vessel, which passed though and halted stationary relative to the Gate, about 100 kilometres out. A slight pause for the ship to ensure its presence was detected, then it broadcast the typical Owner welcome message, read by a silver-skinned human-looking figure.

"Greetings to the people of The Dominion of Piethrixia, from the Owners of the Nexus. We come to you with peaceful intentions and wish to offer you participation in the Nexus, a multi-versal community of many races, species and civilisations. If you wish to discuss further, please decide who you wish to represent you and communicate on this frequency. Your chosen representative is cordially invited to visit the Nexus and see what is on offer. This offer is not time limited, and we will remain here until directed otherwise.

Once again, welcome to the Nexus."

50km above Vers surface - PAFD Enterprise

"Sir we are getting a message from a ship that has exited the anomaly." The Comms officer says as they turn around. "Putting it on main speakers now"

"Greetings to the people of The Dominion of Piethrixia, from the Owners of the Nexus. We come to you with peaceful intentions and wish to offer you participation in the Nexus, a multi-versal community of many races, species and civilizations. If you wish to discuss further, please decide who you wish to represent you and communicate on this frequency. Your chosen representative is cordially invited to visit the Nexus and see what is on offer. This offer is not time limited, and we will remain here until directed otherwise.

The Bridge is silent. Not a single person makes a noise until the captain yells out an order. "All stations hold fire" He Stands up. "Get the Admiral on Comms."

2 Minutes later
"Captain, How is the incident up there going? Do you need access to the Hypersonic missile arsenal?" The captain stands from his seat and looks towards the image of the Admiral on the screen. "No I don't, we have an alien race that is requesting for us to join a thing they call the "Nexus", they want someone to represent us to them."

The Admiral looks down towards his desk and presses a few buttons. "My Frigate is ready to be launched. You are coming with me on it, I'm not letting anyone, even me Go alone into unknown Territory." The Admiral stands up and walks off, the transmission ends.

20 minutes later
"Admirals ship is coming towards us. I'm sending them to docking bay 2." The Comms officer says as they press buttons on their command console. The captain stands up and begins to walk towards the door to the bridge but stops before they leave "Commander you have the ship until I'm back. If things go south, you have permission to fire every. singe. Weapon this ship has on her at that opening." The Captain walks out of the bridge and gets into the Elevator.

Docking bay 2 - PAFD Enterprise
"Admiral, how are you today." The captain salutes. "Good, at ease." The admiral turns and begins walking back towards his ships docking tube. "We better be quick, I don't want to keep them waiting"

PAFF Retribution - Bridge
"Set Course for the Opening, Tell our friends, we are on our way." He sits in his command chair as the ship undocks and begins to move towards the opening.

PAFDD - Quail | At Warp near Vers

The Quails Warp Drive creates a slight Hum in the Bridge of the Quail, apart from that there are no other noises. Normally the Warp Drives hum would Calm the Crew down, but not now. An Unknown Race had opened some sort of Gateway right into the Heart of Piethrixia. All Piethrixian Warships in the area were ordered to Vers, just in case. The Large Heavy Railguns fitted to the Quail were sweeping the space around the Quail, even as it was at warp, which is one of the safest places for a Piethrixian Warship as its weapons work just as well as they would at sub-warp speeds.

On the massive Viewscreen that wraps around almost the entirety the Bridge, only two things are displayed. The Space Around the ship, and a timer saying how long until the Ship Arrived.

T-Minus 1 Minute

In The Massive hangar, Fighters are sitting next to the Blast doors, ready to be launched. In the Middle of the Hangar Two Retribution Class Frigates, are landed inside and are Fully manned and ready to launch.

T-Minus 50 Seconds

The Captain Walks onto the Bridge. Half of his face Scarred and Disfigured from a Warp Core Breach. He Sits in the Captain's chair in the middle of the Bridge and looks out of the 360 Degree Viewscreen.

T-Minus 40 Seconds

He Turns to his Tactical Officer. "Weapons systems are online?" The tactical officer looks towards him from his station, "Tactical Systems running at 200% Efficiency. We will be able to take them out even before they knew they wanted to attack us" The Captain looks back towards the front of the Bridge. "don't fire until I give the order, the moment we leave Warp Launch the Retributions and every fighter we have."

T-Minus 30 Seconds

"Engineering to Bridge, we will be slowing down now so we don't ram into Vers." The Captain Presses a button on his Control panel. "No, we will be at Full warp until the last moment. The Ships Thrusters can stop us in a good enough amount of time, take us in at an angle where we can avoid any vessels in orbit.

T-Minus-20 Seconds

"ill be putting full shields to the front of the ship just in case we end up coming in right in front of a small freighter."

T-Minus 10 Seconds

The Cannons of the ship all turn to face in front of the Warship. All of them loaded and ready to fire with the push of a button. Their aims were set to create a large wall of shells, the only time that it was done before was during the war with earth decades ago, the ship that was being targeted was turned to small pieces of space debris by the thousands of Shells hitting it.

T-Minus 0 Seconds

The Massive Warship comes speeding out of warp speed and is heading straight for a Retribution class Frigate in orbit of Vers. The crew of the Frigate have less than three seconds before the warship slams into it at high speeds. The Frigate splits in half with one half falling towards the planet below and the other half drifting off into space. The Massive forwards facing thrusters of the Dreadnought burst to life and begin slowing the ship. As the Dreadnought begins to enter the Atmosphere its hull begins to glow, though it is normal for a vessel to become heated slightly during reentry for landing it is normally done at slower speeds than the speed that the Dreadnought is going. The Dreadnought finally Slows down when it is 3 Kilometers above the surface. Its massive Downwards facing thrusters blasting heat at the ground below. Objects such as small vehicles are thrown about by the thrusters. Then the front section of the Frigate gets closer, glowing bright orange it's Automated systems attempting to slow it down but to no Avail, the vessel kept on plunging towards the Planets surface.

The Frigate eventually hits a large tower, which splits in half and begins falling towards a large Shopping center. The Rest of the Frigate coming to rest on a road after taking down ten buildings.

The quail begins to ascend back up to 50 Kilometers to join the rest of the ships up there.

The Owner's craft watched with no small amount of incredulity as the vessels of the newly contacted Client responded to the appearance of the Gate, especially the arrival of a large warship from superluminal travel which appeared to crash into a smaller craft, then dive in and out of the atmosphere to slow down, as the wreckage of the other ship rained down on the world below. Footage of the incident was relayed back to the Nexus, along with a digital 'note' that implied a certain level of horrified fascination. Had the Advocate been biological, then it might have spent the next few moment composing itself, but its artificial form did not need such things, thankfully.

By the time the approaching ship even began to move towards the Envoy vessel, and well before any chance to allow for a transfer of guests, the Advocate was able to present its usual neutral self, although the commotion on the Owner network would continue for some time yet. "To the approaching vessel," it sent. "You are invited to board this Enovy vessel, either with a craft of your own, or a transfer shuttle can be sent for you. Transit through the Gate for vessels of your own is discouraged until suitable berthing is available on the far side."

The small Frigate Begins to move towards the Opening, and the Craft. Its Weapons Systems and Shields Online and ready. A Single Message is sent.

"Retribution to Nexus Vehicle, Prepare For Docking. We are unable to send a single Representative due to Regulations of the Peithrixian Armed Forces, Admiral Jacob Daniels, And 10 Security officers will be sent."

If the Advocate was from a space-faring species without access to the technologies of the Nexus, this would've have been a daunting moment, especially given the spectacle from earlier. However, the Owner was confident in its own technological prowess and adjusted the fields of its own craft accordingly.

"Vessel named Retribution, you are free to approach the Nexus Envoy. Please halt 5 meters from the lit docking port and facilities will be prepared for your embarkation. The size of your party has been accounted for and is entirely acceptable."

On the side of the Envoy craft, a bright green ring lit up and, as the Retribution got closer, powerful fields took the craft as easily as if it had been a physical dock and brought it in closer. A barely visible tube extended out from an entrance and merged seamlessly with what the Advocate assumed was an airlock on the Peithrixian ship.

Inside the Enovy craft, awaiting the arrival of its guests, the Advocate stood, looking entirely like an averaged sized Peithrixian, but with matt-silver skin and backlit eyes.

PAFF - Retribution | Airlock 2A

The ten security officers armed with weapons that are very similar to the Earths P90 all aim towards the thick doors of the frigates airlock. The officer closest to the control panel presses a few buttons and the doors begin to open, once opened the team enters the small airlock after they enter the admiral enters. The first door slowly closes and seals the 11 men into the small metal room. After the ship's computer equalizes the pressure in the airlock to be the same as in the envoy craft, a small red light begins to flash on both sides of the door. The doors then begin to open slowly. Once the doors open half of a foot the left door suddenly jams and stops while the right door continues and opens while the left one starts to smoke.

The Advocate watched as the door jammed, and whilst outwardly unmoving, inwardly shook its head. To journey into space without adequate confidence in one's machines was either bravery of the highest level, or callous disregard for one's self. The Advocate wasn't sure which one was worse. Its sensors scanned the door and identified the issue, but refrained from using the Enovy crafts manipulator fields to assist. Clients were not always welcoming of help from such sources and maintaining Client pride was important in first contacts.

"Welcome to the Nexus Envoy craft," the Advocate said as the new clients finally exited their craft. "I am your Advocate, and you may address me as such. It is my task to show you what the Nexus offers, and to answer any questions you inevitably will have. Do you wish seating and/or sustenance?"

PAFF - Retribution | Airlock 2A
The team stays quiet for almost a minute until a single security officer with a rank badge of Ensign and a name tag saying Kim speaks. "A cup of green tea would be nice, the systems on the ship aren't able to replicate it for some reason." The Lieutenant standing next to the Ensign gives them a nudge and whispers to them "Kim! what did we tell you not to do, that's literally the one thing you were told not to do. Let the Admiral do the talking"

The admiral then Pushed through the 6 officers in front of him and put his Right hand out to shake the hand of the Advocate. "I am Admiral Jacob Daniels, Nice to meet you... Advocate. Ill have a green tea like Ensign Kim. I Hope having my Group of Security with me isn't a problem. Piethrixian Armed Forces Protocol states that at least 10 Officers with 5 of them being armed must be with an admiral or above when meeting with a nation of similar ability, and for nations of unknown, they must be all armed."
